Board Meeting June 30th, 2010 to hand over Officer duties.
2010 NAWBO – NePa Goals:
1. Create an email Newsletter that goes out monthly with Upcoming Events/Member Spotlight etc. – possibly with paid sponsor ads.
2. Create a Membership Committee to welcome new members over the first 90 days; to call all new members before meetings and to introduce them at the meetings.
a. Theoretically we should all act as NAWBO Ambassadors consistently.
b. Amy Tobin will supply 15 “Ask me about NAWBO” badges that can be worn voluntarily to all networking events.
3. Create a PR Committee to broaden awareness of NAWBO NePa through networking with our partners and getting press attention for our events/members.
4. Create a Sponsorship Committee to bring in more Corporate Sponsors in coordination with Lynn (Lynn as Chair)
5. Open up our meeting locations to any members who have the right type of facilities and can accommodate the group.
6. Paula & Amy will meet with Kristen Driesbaugh of the Scranton Chamber to discuss NAWBO NePa rejoining the Chamber and how we can partner with them.
7. Have a 50/50 Raffle at each meeting to raise money for the organization. Develop a winter event for a fundraiser for the chapter – possibly another type of awards ceremony that will not impede upon the Top 25.
8. Create a new website that shows up in search engine rankings when Women/Business and our geographic area is searched. It will contain:
a. Home Page with paid a paid banner ad, Links to our Corporate Sponsors, a Member Spotlight, an Upcoming Events Box, a JOIN NAWBO link (and page), FB, Twitter & LinkedIn badges.
b. Member Benefits page that espoused the features and benefits of NAWBO, including the National offers such as discounts etc.
c. Members Page with links to all member’s webpages etc.
d. Contact Page
e. Top 25 Women in Business Awards page listing all past winners by year with contact links.
f. Why Join NAWBO page
g. Minutes Page from past Meetings – updated monthly
h. Public Policy Page
i. Code of Conduct Page
j. Link on Home Page to our partner events such as Women’s Networking Events etc.
